The stand-out feature of this lead mandolin is its amazing sound. It is powerhouse with great sustain, but still it has a very sweet tone.
It is very difficult to stop playing it once you take it! It is a great choice for choro and classical music, due to it’s sweet tone. It is also a great soloist instrument, as it is definetely capable to stand-out even with an orchestra.
All mandolins from Richard Morgan are louder than most other mandolins, but this one seems to be exceptional.
The wide fretboard allows for easier play, especially for people with bigger hands. I find this fretboard size to be optimum, although my hands are average size.
This mandolin has been on display on a musical shop in Australia, and has therefore some very minor cosmetic wear on the soundboard (obviously from picking), just beneath the strings. Other than this it is in exceptional condition.
