We have photos of the beginning stages of new jazz guitars – being made for by Australian luthier Richard Morgan. One of these guitars is expected to be received in the near future! These jazz guitars are made with Adirondack Spruce or King Billy pine soundboards with Queens maple sides and backs, similar to the absolutely stunning RM-M3 mandolin we had from Richard Morgan. Richard tells us that these instruments feature his unique radiant soundboard design, which is expected to produce a powerful sound suitable for jazz. These follow the prototype jazz guitar made last year which was a great success and paved the way for this work.
These instruments are to be displayed at the Adelaide Guitar Festival on 10th of August, and following the festival one will make its way to us.
