We have photos of the beginning stages of new instruments coming soon- two classical guitars – being made for us by Australian luthier Richard Morgan. These are made with Adirondack Spruce or King Billy pine soundboards with Queens maple sides and backs, similar to the absolutely stunning RM-M3 mandolin we had from Richard Morgan. Richard tells us that these instruments feature his unique radiant soundboard design, but also mute systems that will allow the players to practice at nights without disturbing the neighbors! One classical guitar will be arch-top, perhaps one of the first ever arch-top classical guitars made. The other instrument will feature the unique interchangeable soundboard – making this instrument a “Diva”. All it takes is just two minutes to change the soundboard, making this the first fully modular classical guitar ever built.
These instruments are to be displayed at the Adelaide Guitar Festival on 10th of August, and following the festival will make their way to us.
